Law Practice Areas

Bianca N. Blanks joined Morrow Vermitsky Costello Law Group as an associate attorney in 2026. Bianca practices criminal law at the North Carolina state trial court level, representing clients in misdemeanor and lower-level felony matters, traffic offenses and expunctions. She also handles a variety of family law matters, including 50B domestic violence protective orders, 50C civil no-contact orders, separation agreements, child custody, child support, spousal support, equitable distribution and other domestic matters.

Bianca is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the Forsyth County Bar Association. She understands that for many clients, their first interaction with an attorney comes during a difficult, stressful or unfamiliar time. Bianca strives to make that process more manageable by listening to her clients, understanding their individual circumstances and providing clear and practical guidance about their legal options. She believes clients deserve an attorney who will take their concerns seriously, communicate with them throughout their case and advocate for their interests every step of the way.

Education & Experience

Bianca graduated from Capital University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and triple majors in Criminology, Sociology and Spanish. Prior to attending law school, Bianca worked in the Columbus City Attorney’s Office’s Domestic Violence and Stalking Unit, where she advocated for victims and assisted clients navigating the criminal justice system.

Bianca went on to attend Elon University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctor degree through Elon’s Accelerated J.D. program in December 2025. During law school, Bianca served as President of the Criminal Law Society and as a Class Representative for the Student Bar Association. She was also involved with Mock Trial, the Innocence Project, Phi Alpha Delta, the Mental Health Law Society, Black Law Students Association and People Not Property. Through Elon Law’s Guardian ad Litem Clinic, Bianca gained additional experience advocating for children and working on matters involving family law and domestic violence.

While in law school, Bianca gained practical legal experience through internships and a legal residency in both family law and criminal defense. Her experience included legal research and writing, client communication, courtroom appearances, case preparation and working directly with attorneys on active criminal and family law matters.

Outside of the Office

Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Bianca has called North Carolina home for the past three years. Outside of her legal practice, she enjoys spending time with friends, family and her two cats, Stormi and Haze, playing volleyball and relaxing with her favorite television shows.
